TAI CHI CHUAN

Vasiliki Papadatou Architect (NTUA) | Tai Chi Instructor (Certified by the General Secretariat of Sports)
Around 20 years ago, I began actively searching for a form of physical exercise that truly suited me. I had come to realize that movement and physical activity were the key to health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
Tai Chi Chuan came into my life to stay, offering far more than mere physical exercise. Over the years, I have continually experimented with a playful mindset, constantly reaffirming its beneficial effects through rich personal experience. I have even experimented with taking deliberate breaks from practice, carefully observing the consequences—only to return to this brilliant art, observing its effects once again.
Above all, I would describe Tai Chi Chuan as an exceptional tool for enhancing balance and flexibility, as well as a method that fosters mindfulness and self-awareness. It is a form of exercise that calms the mind through continuous stretches performed at a gentle, slow pace. The multifaceted demands of the practice make deep concentration second nature.
Through Tai Chi, the mind is trained to focus its attention on everyday activities and basic functions, such as walking consciously and attentively. The benefits of consistent, long-term practice become seamlessly integrated into daily life, making practitioners more efficient in everything they undertake. In short: a calm mind in a healthy body is inventive, prevents injuries, and avoids unnecessary energy consumption.
Tai Chi Chuan is suitable for everyone—provided, of course, it resonates with them. When daily life becomes overwhelming, its practices serve as an ace up your sleeve. Your mood lifts, your body feels better, and the transformation is truly spectacular. Over time, this art becomes a trusted companion, standing by you whenever you need it.
While enthusiasm usually fades quickly, Tai Chi Chuan manages to keep it alive. I feel truly fortunate!
I have been teaching Tai Chi since 2012.
What deeply motivates me is finding the most effective way to convey this knowledge so that everyone who chooses to practice feels empowered to learn.
Classes can be conducted in English, French, and Romanian.
With warm regards and my best wishes to you all,
